1. A recent study on productivity improvement through time and work study analysis has just published. In the study, the authors have decided to conduct work and time study analysis in order to increase productivity of a cement factory. After conducting several meetings with Operations Manager and Production Line Executive, one work station has chosen as a pilot station, and then the analyses are performed sequentially. At the work station, an operation composed of three (3) work elements (hereafter called as X, Y and Z) are analyzed initially. Observations are recorded as displayed in the following table. The allowance time for the operation is identified as 5% for delay and 10% for fatigue. Based on all, compute normal times and standard time for the operation.
