Assignment: Course Project

Overview

The goal of the final project is to provide the opportunity for you to conduct research in topics relating to the future of operating systems. Final projects will be undertaken in teams. For this project, your group will select a topic relating to Operating Systems $($see suggestions below or you may seek approval on your own topic$)$ and conduct research on the topic as described below. A topic can only be done by one group $($no duplicate projects$).$ There are Five deliverables for this project.

NO LATE SUBMISSIONS ACCEPTED ON ANY OF THE DELIVERABLES NO EXCEPTIONS...BE ON TIME

Project Proposal

The proposal should be no longer than two written pages $($double spaced, indent paragraphs, $12$pt Times New Roman font, $1"$ margins$),$ not including cover page and reference page. You are responsible for forming groups and managing yourselves $($I will determine expected group sizes$).$

Each person in the group will submit a copy of the group proposal.

$(10$ pts$)$ Post the name of group nembers in the Project discussion group.

$(10$ pts$)$ Pick a topic relating to operating systems that you think will become increasingly important within the next five years. Reply to your group post with the selected topic. NO DUPLICATE TOPICS are allowed among groups. Once a group post the topic selection, no other group can do the same topic.

$(40pts$ In the project proposal, briefly describe the history of the topic, why you believe this topic will be increasingly important, the problems that your topic solves, and what interest your group has in exploring this topic. DO NOT EXCEED $2$ PAGES.

$(30pts)$ You must supply at least five initial references in support of your idea in the proposal using APA Style $($including inline citations$).$ Do not copy and paste words from sources. All words should come out of your own head.
