Jamaica Broilers would like to set up operations in Barbados to firstly expand their business to the wider Caribbean. Ja Broilers would supply Reggae Jammin Brand and the Best Dress Chicken Brand to the locals in Barbados this would generate more revenue. Also to compete for new sales, the company would have investment opportunities. Instructions The Research Project contributes 30% to the final grade for this course. Students will be required to form groups of 4 to 6 persons. The Research Project has two (2) components - the first will see the groups taking the perspective of International Managers being a part of Jamaican business organizations seeking to set up operation in another country while the second component will see them taking the perspective of International Managers being a part of a business overseas that is seeking to partner and do business with a Jamaican business organization. In both cases groups will be required to conduct the research to inform both components and to prepare a written report and make a verbal presentation of the findings. The groups will be guided by their tutor on the countries and businesses to focus on for both components of this project. They will also be guided by their tutor on the due dates and the submission process for both the written and verbal components of this assignment. The report should be a minimum of 20 pages double spaced in TimesNewRoman 12 point and should conform to APA standards. The verbal presentation should be supported by a PowerPoint presentation that will included in the Appendices of the written report. Component 1 In this component of the Research Project groups are to take the perspective of International Managers of a Jamaican business organization that is seeking to set up operations in another country. Groups with the guidance of their tutor will identify the Jamaican business and the country that they will be targeting for entry. The groups will conduct research on the country being targeted and make recommendations on key decisions that the Jamaican organization will need to make in order to make the entry into the other country a success. This component will cover the following areas: Global Environmental Scanning Infrastructure constraints Investment incentives and market potential Cultural, social and technological suitability Competitive Analysis How much to localize
