Java: For this program you only need to complete what is asked of you in the book. You simply have to check the password the user entered to see if it meets the requirements, and then display a message informing the user of their success or failure.

If you want the extra challenge, you can tell the user what they were missing in the password they entered, and also keeping asking them to re$-$enter it until they are successful. I posted example output below for either option. The output in the blue font is for the program with the extra challenge. $($I cannot give you extra credit for completing the optional requirements; it is for those who want the challenge$).$
