Question: Jerry owns a small bar that hosts stand - up comedians who rotate in and out of town and through his place when they are
Jerry owns a small bar that hosts standup comedians who rotate in and out of town and through his place when they are in New York. Rather than hire a bartender, wait person, bar back, host, etc. he has the comedians pitch in and do those things. At the end of the night they all share in some of the proceeds of admission tickets and bar sales. It works pretty well because he does not have a permanent staff. On any given night a comedian may do their act and then move behind the bar to make drinks or do their act and then serve as a wait person. Jerry's policy of job assentially expands the number of duties that each person has.
