Jim Sams has appointed you as the Program Manger for PickPOCIT. You decide to create a Communications Plan to help guide how the team communicates and to avoid $/$ mitigate potential communication barriers. A Communications Plan is used by organizations and teams to define communication channels, processes, and staff member responsibilities and authorities to help ensure that communications are clear and informative. As you begin, you realize that an effective plan will require feedback from the team and want to discuss elements of the plan with them at the project kickoff.

For this assignment, you will create components of the PickPOCIT Team Communications Plan in preparation for the kickoff meeting:

Define the communication goals and expectations for the team.

Develop a matrix that outlines your proposed approach for the various types of communication that will occur on the project. For each type of communication, consider the following:

Primary Stakeholder: Who will be receiving the communication?

Primary Communicator: Who will be initiating the communication?

Message: What is the topic of the communication?

Medium: What is the method that will be used to deliver the communication?

Occasion: What is the reason for the communication?

Schedule: What is the frequency of the communication?

Other comments or details of note.

Be sure to think about all types of communication that could happen in the course of project execution, including those internal to the team, internal within ISI, and external to the company.
