  • Respond to all communications (voicemail, e-mail, mail) at least once daily.
  • Actively work on process improvements within the department.
  • Assure that staff attend and actively participate in all scheduled training.

Develop and strengthen the overall sales franchise: 55%

  • Overall profit and expense responsibility. Achieve sales and profits expectations; including developing and setting departmental monthly goals (customer sales survey results, sales, profits, extended warranty, add-on sales, lowering returns to goal, staff productivity, etc.).
  • Franchise vision, development, direction and progress.
  • Overall responsibility for allocations and performance of all resources including human resources. Store design, layout and allocation of retail space. Management of labor expenses vs. sales of the division.
  • Ensure improved and consistent levels of customer service at point-of-sale.
  • Oversee merchandising and display within area to ensure the best possible results.

Administrative responsibilities: 10%

  • Ensure staff are actively involved and participating in formal problem solving and recognition activities.
  • Overall communication responsibility for assigned sales division; including operational, advertising and coordinating merchandising communication with buying team, etc.

Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages approximately 10-20 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of approximately 75-150 staff members.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, sales/marketing, management or related area.
  • 6 years of retail sales management experience.
  • 6 years experience in one of the product categories that will be managed.

Computer Skills:

  • Inventory software
  • Word Processing software
