Junai supervises a local ABA center providing early intervention services. She noticed her staff were not starting sessions on time and parents were waiting in the waiting room several minutes after their scheduled appointments. Observation revealed that staff were struggling in the mornings attempting to gather the materials needed and set up for sessions. Junai identified that preparing the center before leaving work would lead to changes in parent wait times. Junai completed the baseline for her PIC/NIC analysis to identify the behaviors needed to achieve results. She was able to determine which consequences may be contributing to staff leaving without preparing the center. Junai then completed the PDC to further assess the cause of the performance problem. After completing both, Junai developed function-based strategies to alter the antecedents and consequences to promote the target behaviors
