Just need a response to this post

For my topic, I chose Integrity as a Governing Ethic. As a summary, what this means is that while most companies are governed by compliance, which is the act of being compliant with the law, having ethics or moreover integrity, which is the ability to make the right choice even when nobody is looking, should be part of the governing structure. Per the article, An integrity strategy is characterized by a conception of ethics as a driving force of an enterprise (Paine, 1994, para. 27). In other words, the article says that by implementing a strong ethics program for the employees and enforcing integrity as a strategy, this will ensure that employees are making ethical decisions. When I was in the Marine Corps, integrity was a huge part of being a Marine. One time, as a junior Marine, I got caught not doing a set of pushups when I thought no one was looking and what I didnt realize is that there was an NCO behind me who saw what I had done. Instead of calling me out in front of everyone, he whispered in my ear, no integrity. This was more profound to me than being punished because it forced me to realize what it meant to truly have integrity.

Right now, the company I work for is implementing the agile mindset into most of the business practices by using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology. One of the SAFe standards is to let the team members of an Agile team make the critical decisions during a team sprint, which is the where the work occurs, instead of letting a project manager or scrum master decide. I think choosing integrity as a governing ethic can also be incorporated into my organization by using the agile mindset. For example, the article also mentions, Corporate counsel may play a role in the design and implementation of integrity strategies, but managers at all levels and across all functions are involved in the process (Paine, 1994, para. 29). I think this is a strong point because it lends credence to the agile mindset that ethics shouldnt be dictated from the top down, everyone should be involved in creating the ethical model.
