Keiser University is facing challenges due to a decrease in students$$ retention which is affecting revenue. The reasons were to be investigated. The Dean of the school formed a sizeable task group from various faculty departments in the school including the student leadership representative to help increase student retention problem. The task group members included faculty representatives from the business administration, General Education, Software Engineering, Political Science, Psychology and Integrated marketing communication etc and a report would be presented to the Dean after the investigation. During the first couple of meetings, the group faced some problems, such as being unable to set the steps for the process. There were conflicts and disagreements, and as a result some members left the meeting. In later meetings, they compromised their differences and worked seriously on the problem to achieve their goal. The business administration representatives were the only participants that missed meetings and did not come up with their part of the task. Their lack of effort affected the progress and morale of the group. When asked, their response was that they were sure the report would be completed on time. After the investigation was done, the other participants from the various departments and students$$ representative except the business administration representative developed a strong relationship and socialized frequently.
