Function and Non-Functional Requirements

Snow Card

Objective:

The purpose of this Lab 07 is to demonstrate your understanding to define the Function and Non-functional requirements and to write Snow Card.

The Snow Card

Whereas the template is a guide to what to write about, the snow card is a guide to how to write it. Individual requirements have a structurea set of attributes, where each attribute contributes something to your understanding of the requirement, and to the precision of the requirement, and thereby to the accuracy of the products development.

Project: Hospital Management System (HM-System)

The "Jeddah National Hospital- Saudi Arabia " was established in 2004 and is situated in Jeddah. The hospital served number of patients from the government, semi-government departments and also the private sectors in the country for over 17 years. The hospital management have provided different services to patients and employees and have kept the records of all this data over 17 years.

In 2004, the hospital have developed a complete HM-System to facilitate and improve the overall working of this hospital.

Recently, the Hospital managers have decided to make some changes in order overcome some limits and to enhance the functionalities of the existing system. The changes will help the patients to make appointments, access records, etc. The changes will help also the employees to do their activities and guarantee the patient and employees safety and security.

This project will produce a new version of the existing Hospital Management System.

Note: Please do not limit yourself to these improvements, you can add your own ideas and new features.

Task 1:

Based on the Product use case Table (defined in Lab 5) write scenarios for four chosen PUC (Product Use Case).

Task 2:

Based on Product use case Table and PUCs scenarios, derive the Requirements. You can consider the following table.
