Lab #4 Mini Debate Paper (5%)

As discussed in this course, in the past, our notions of equality and ethics were different than they are today. Our notions of equality and ethics today are well highlighted by the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Your task is to choose one ground of equality and write a mini debate paper on this topic as is outlined in the Structure of a Debate powerpoint slides, slide #9. Your two body paragraphs must be in bullet format and must comprise 4 arguments for both sides of your chosen topic. Your introductory and concluding paragraphs must be in full sentences.

Possible grounds of equality that you may choose from include: ethnic origin, gender, disability, religion, economic status, class, etc. Your task is to imagine yourself living in a time where the ground you have chosen is still being debate and a matter of controversy. You will need to argue both sides of why this ground of equality should be justified as equal and why it should not be justified as equal.
