Lab3 Exercise (2%) You will work on the business process Get a G Driver License in Ontario for a new driver in this lab.

Please refer to the Ontario Ministry of Transportation website (https://www.ontario.ca/page/get-g- drivers-licence-new-drivers) to gather enough information for this business process. Then, model all the necessary activities and the sequence of the activities in a business process activity diagram.

In this lab, you can focus on what to do and ignore the details of how to achieve. For example, you can stay at this level: book a road test; rather than laying out the details of how to book a road test. However, you DO need to consider all possible scenarios which may happen in the flow of this business process, for example, what if the driver fails a road test.

The following are some business rules for this business process. You should dig out more for your work.

  • To apply for a license, the driver must show proof of legal name, date of birth (showing day, month and year of birth) and signature. The driver must be at least 16 years old.

  • Bring the documents to a DriveTest Centre to apply.

  • The driver must pay a fee when apply. This fee includes the cost of the knowledge test, the first

road test and a five-year licensing fee. There are more charges for the drivers second road test and for any retests he/she may need to take. To schedule a road-test appointment, the driver must prepay the fee.

  • The driver must obtain G1, and then G2, and ultimate G license. What you need to submit:

A business process activity diagram showing the major activities and the logic flow of the given business process.
