User Needs
We need an update to our current system to support out new Tasting Menus. These Tasting Menus take a selection of the dishes from our menu for the given week and offer smaller plates so the customer can taste a wider range of our creations.
Current System
Our current system enables us to track our dishes (in creation and finished), build our menus, price and serve them. Our Chefs create menu ideas and once they are approved by the Head Chef they can be put into a Menu for an upcoming week.
The Head Chef prepares a menu and once they are happy with this the Admin Team will add prices and update the descriptions as necessary. Once the prices and descriptions Are approved by the Manager it is ready for the Frond of House team to use (from the date the menu starts).
The Front of House team use the menu to create order Tickets for each table, noting which dishes they wish to have. They then create one or more bills for the table/ticket and take payment.
New Requirements
We need the new Tasting Menus added to the system. These are made up of existing dishes on the menu and we price them at 60% of the total of price of the full dishes. They are made up of a dish that is 50% of the size of the main dish. There are two tasting menus, one that has five dishes and one that has seven dishes.
When a customer chooses a tasting menu this should be recorded as the customer ordering each of the dishes on the Tasting menu as a Tasting version of the dish, ie. a smaller version of the dish that is already on the menu.Lancaster's Restaurant
