Last week you had your Why UPS does not program their software to find the shortest route available When I think about linear programming for routes, I immediately think of logistics companies: UPS, FedEx, and Speedee (regional company). Ironically, UPS had a policy where drivers didn't turn left (across traffic) to save stopping times, even if it means the shortest route is NOT taken. The main reasons for doing this: lower chance of accidents makes for less delays/idleness economy of fuel (due to not having to floor it to make it through a gap in traffic)first exam for our class. I have always been a believer in having test prep and test taking strategies to enable my top performance on the test.
