Today, the progressive den- tal practice uses written communication to perform a wide variety of tasks, both paper based and digitally based. Com- puters are useful in a dental practice because they can be used to create printed and electronic communication. They can be used to develop patient brochures and monthly newsletters, create office manuals for employees, store databases and sample letters, and perform merge techniques to mass mail an assortment of letters and notices.
