Lee et al$.(2019)$ showed how our place within a network can influence our perceptions. This suggests one of many points of connection between network structure and vertex attributes, as the position that a person holds within a network may predict key characteristics of that individual, right down to his or her cognition of society itself. How else might we use network structure to infer likely vertex attributes, including those that would be difficult to directly measure $($like cognition$)?$ Just as importantly, how might we use such inferences to improve our professional work?
