Let us assume you complete an nmap scan that shows all the ports of a system, but you limit the scan to just the systems from 192.168.0.3 to 192.168.0.250. Each one has a protocol associated to them (ports) that you found on each IP address. If you were explaining network mapping to a novice network security student, and what you just did using nmap, show in a paragraph or two what they may have just learned or what they may not know.
