Let's keep in mind that people have different interpretations of things, which can mean that one person's truth is not shared by everyone. Respecting that truth is something good public speakers often mention and or explain in their remarks. Others simply say "I'm right/he's not. Believe me!" That is why I cannot stress enough that using outside sources is an essential part of public speaking. Outside source usage often represents years of study or testing or other proofs that make a point more valid. And outside sources can easily show changes in attitude about certain subjects, so the information is up-to-date and worth hearing.
