Light Technology This assignment is a research project. While completing your research, try to find a variety of sources and attempt to assess the sources for logic, accuracy, reliability, adequacy, and bias. It is a good idea to try to find a minimum of two sources to corroborate information. You will choose two technologies related to light. Some examples of potential topics include: optical fibres, polarized sunglasses, GPS, spectroscopes, laser surgery, x-rays for imaging, linear accelerators used in cancer treatments, DVDs, and holographic security. Your task will then be to describe the structure and function of each device, and explain how light is used in the technology. Finally, you will outline the societal and environmental impact of your chosen technologies. You may choose to file a written report or prepare a video presentation.
