STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

How will the researcher seek to execute and focus to develop the strategic organization through CSR to employees considering specific social issues, and achieve specific value objectives of the company?

OBJECTIVES:

"To determine the cause and effect relationship between CSR and the success of Johnson & Johnson in the Philippines and activities introduced by the strategic management of J&J in the Philippines by evaluating its impact on the people, community and society, planet and the employees of the J&J's.

The key here is to establish a relationship between the CSR initiatives and need of society + factors affecting the image of the company within the society. 2) From the initiatives implemented by the company, the main points addressed are - a) Healthy people program- To establlish a good image and utility of the products of the company within the society. This will affect the society as well as help the company to indirectly promote their products. b) Healthy community program- This will provide other aid to the society to help them and boost the overall company image in the society. c) Healthy Planet Project- This would probably involve sustainable practices within the company like energy, water conservation, reduction in carbon footprint etc. and implementation of green initiatives within the society. This is for the environment plus again to crrate a positive image of the company. So CSR activity is focussed on its products plus and welfare of the society thorugh improving health and environment. So these links can be further explored through 2 aspects- A] Questionnaire for the company: a) What are the benefits the company expects from GSR activities in catrgories of - 1) Product Image, i) Company image, ii) Benefits for society, iv) Environmental Benefits (for society and for the comapany). b) What are the steps taken under each category? c) What are the future steps planned under each category? d) What would be the estimated budget of the activites? e) What areas (locations) have been selected for the activities? (this will clarify which type of population would be most beneficial from the activities. Also here you can identify any gaps or corrections required if the selction is not very correct. Eg: The Healthy People activity should be in areas where people would appreciate and use the products of the company. f) What have been the tangible / intangible benefits the compaany has derived from the activities (whether some data has been collected and analysed)? Select a sample size from the company of people at different levels (hierrachial and departmental) if possible to get better perspective. B Questionnalre for the society: a) How do people perceive the company in terms of its image- products, morality, social responsibility etc.? b) Which products do people commonly use? (these should / would be more involved in the healthy people and healthy community programs. c) How do people perceive the CSR activities of the company all three forms of activities? d) How do people perceive the environmental activities of the company. Which addtional environmental activities does the sOciety want included? Use a diverse sample size in terms of areas, age, sex, education etc. You can use Google forms, personal inteviews to collect the data. Correlate each point from the company side and from society side and make suggestions for aligning both the needs and reaching a point of balance. This would be the best strategy for the company.
