Cumulative Labor Costs Using the Current Tool Versus Using DataMax and Cumulative Savings of Using DataMax Over 4 Years
Thank you all for taking some time to explore this new data collection tool with me. As you all know, data must be compiled monthly by all shift managers. Currently, it takes us thirty hours altogether to compile the monthly data, which costs the office one thousand three hundred and fifty dollars in wages every month. With DataMax, we could spend twenty percent less time, which could save two hundred seventy dollars each month in labor costs.
The blue and orange bars on this graph [points to chart] are showing the cumulative labor costs over four years for the data compilation process with our current tool and with the DataMax tool. The grey bars represent the cumulative savings from using the DataMax tool. The cost to purchase the DataMax software and train all shift managers is roughly ten thousand dollars, which is displayed here on the chart by the bold black line. As you can see, by the first quarter of year four, cumulative savings exceed the initial cost to purchase, which means DataMax will pay for itself after three years. Not only will we save money, but we will also save about six hours of time per month by adopting the DataMax system. While six hours may not sound like a lot of time, those extra hours can be spent on other tasks and reduce the need for hiring more staff. What do you all think?
