The main similarity between the approaches taken by these three giants is the creation of a situation that excites children and thus, attracts their families. Even then, the exact approach taken by the three giants differs greatly. McDonald's attracts children by providing coloring sites on their websites and happy meals toys, children are offered after happy meals. McDonald's also provide children with the happy meal bag that contains pictures and other things that excite children. Burger King attracts children through a children's corner that contains a playhouse and interactive screens. The interactive screens have various games that excite children. Wendy's strategy is almost similar to that of MacDonald's; they offer toys to children. However, Wendy's also look to excite children by giving them portions that would not overwhelm them. Question 2 In the fact food industry, the first step in consumer decision-making is problem recognition. For example, the consumer recognizes that they need a meal and decide the type of meal they need. In the second step, the consumer then searches for relevant information. For example, the consumer looks at the health implications of various burgers or sandwiches to choose the appropriate one. For instance, one chooses a chicken sandwich since it contains white meat rather than red meat. In the third step, the consumer evaluates alternatives. Here, one looks at the availability of there preferred meal in close fast food restaurants and the prices in each before deciding which restaurant offers the best deal. In fourth step, the consumer purchases their preferred meal. For instance, the consumer drives to MacDonalds and purchases a chicken sandwich. In the final step, post-purchase, the customer enjoys their purchase and creates relations with the sellers. In this step, the consumer eats the chicken sandwich, evaluates its quality. and decides whether to remain loyal customer to Macdonald's or not.
