Materials provided in the kit: Marbles Materials provided by the student: meter stick (works best, but any metric ruler will work) masking tape Procedure (this works best if you have a helper). You will need a space that is not carpeted so that the marbles can roll freely. It also works best if you set up your space where there is a backstop. You will set up your space as in the picture below. 1. Find a space on the floor where you can work. You may want to choose an area with a backstop. Use masking tape to make a line exactly 50 cm long across the floor. 2. Place 5 spheres along the masking tape spacing them out so they are not touching each other. They do not have to be evenly spaced. 3. Measure a second piece of tape that is 1 meter long and place it perpendicular to the first. 4. A third piece of tape can also be placed indicating where you will sit to roll the marble. Place the 6th sphere at this point. At this point take a picture of your set up and attach to your final lab report. 5. Sit where
