Now that you have created a recruitment strategy for your previous simulation assignment, the next step is to construct a plan for candidate selection.

Your group has 3 Tasks:

(1)Create a job SELECTION PLAN,

(2) Develop a MOCK INTERVIEW QUESTION TEMPLATE, and

(3) Conduct MOCK INTERVIEW SCRIPT.

Use the same job you were assigned for the Recruitment Guide.

Checklist SELECTION PLAN INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT: (10%) Part 1 Selection Plan Matrix 3%

  • Must include: resume or application blank, reference and background checks, and selection interview
  • Must include two other selection tools

Part 2 Selection Plan Report 5%

  • Provide samples or name (if commercially prepared) of selections tool being (Do not include a sample resume)

Part 3 Screening Interview Question Script 1%

SCREENING INTERVIEW SCRIPT: (1%)

Prepare a telephone Candidate Interview Screening script. In this script you are trying to establish a short-list of candidates. This screening will be completed before you conduct testing and the selection interview.

  • Must include an organization-fit screening question
  • These questions should be designed to screen minimum and essential qualification

Must have at least 5 questions and not exceed 8 (consider the candidates time)

MOCK INTERVIEW GROUP ASSIGNMENT (10%) Part 1: MOCK INTERVIEW SCRIPT (2.5%)

  • Draft and introduction script for your selection interview
  • This tool is meant to be used as a guideline of what you would say to the candidate at the opening and the close of the interview
  • It should include an overview of the organization and the job (be sure to mention the job title)
  • Introduction of who you are and the position
  • Put your candidate at ease, with supportive language
  • At the end, give candidate a chance to ask questions
  • Explain next steps to the selection process for that role
  • Ask for references and explain your reference screening process
  • Show gratitude and thanks for candidates participation in the process
Part 2: MOCK INTERVIEW QUESTION TEMPLATE (2.5%)

  • Write 6 to 7 questions related to the KSAOS of your groups assigned role.
  • For each question must include the KSAO the question is related too, and provide a related benchmark answer
  • Must use the mock interview template in the assignment folder
  • Must write a least one behavioral interview question & one situational interview question
  • List all KSAOS at top of template for your role

PART 3: MOCK INTERVIEW (5%) In week 12 and 13 you will engage in a Mock Interview. You will be assigned a time on either week 12 or week 13. You must take turns being interviewer and interviewee
