Mi Ola : Basic Elements of Planning and Decision Making Case: $($Read the Case and then answer the questions$).$

Helena Fogarty, CEO and founder of Mi Ola, started her career as a project manager, which helped her with setting goals and planning how to achieve them. She started Mi Ola in $2012,$ and had a successful Kickstarter campaign, which was their first real milestone. Helena says that it is important to lay out a project plan. Plans are going to change day to day, but they are still important. When she mapped out the plan for Mi Ola, she knew how many deliveries there would be and when she would need to have the sample line and her collection ready. Helena set deadlines for herself and started working to achieve them. She did the original sketches herself but hired a consultant to help her with that and other tasks. She says, $$You fill in the blanks as you go along.$$ Mi Ola is now in its second year and is preparing for its third year. Helena says she needs to think of what she wants to accomplish by when, and how$$if they want to sell their collection to retailers they need a $$look book$,$ which has to come out a month before, so they will need a photo shoot and their samples must be ready before that. Helena has very loose $5-$ and $10-$ year goals as far as revenue and costs. She says that every day she learns something and modifies her plan and that planning is an inexact science. Helena plans to develop her business further by adding employees and developing her website.
