MICROSOFT ACCESS DATABASE
Create a database that allows people to reserve campsite(s) at Ontario's Provincial Parks
1. The database (DB) must contain at least 4 tables, but you may have more.
You must indicate the type and size of each attribute you add to the tables.
Indicate the relationships between each of the tables.
2. Ontario Provincial Park information:
- multiple parks (i.e. Algonquin, Killarney)
- parks can have many campgrounds (i.e. Algonquin has Tea, Rock, Canoe)
- campsites have an ID which makes them unique in the Ontario Parks system and a site number that identifies them within the campground
- campsites have attributes (read below you may think of more)
- services & facilities available at the campground (you decide)
- costs (standard cost common to all sites plus additional charge based upon
site attributes)
- discounts (senior / group)
3. We need to produce at least the following information. You may have more ideas
- total number of campers in a park on a given day
- Parks and all their RV campsites
- when does a park open/close for the season
- which campsite is empty on a given day
- number of premium waterfront sites at a park
- which campsite a person booked on a given day
- which campsite(s) have electricity and/or water
- the bookings for campsite "x" for a given month
- all "group" sites and their cost per day
- the cost of an additional vehicle on the site
- reservation fee for a booking (Ontario Provincial Park standard reservation fee)
- if alcohol is banned at a campground
