Module Activity #10: Logic Model

Holzer and Schwester briefly discuss theLOGIC MODEL, which is a framework that outlines the logical relationships between the various components of a program. It serves as a roadmap for understanding how inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impacts are interconnected and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the program. By visually mapping out these components and their relationships, a logic model helps stakeholders identify key indicators for monitoring and evaluating its effectiveness. It also facilitates communication, planning, and decision-making among program staff, funders, policymakers, and other stakeholders.

For this module assignment, you will identify a problem facing federal, state, or local government for which some sort of program has already been developed (for example, food insecurity and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). Then, you'll develop a logic model in which you clearly identify the problem the program seeks to address and the inputs, activities, outputs, impacts, and outcomes associated with the program. You may create your logic model from scratch using software (Microsoft office products; Canva; etc.) that allows you to create flow charts, if you're feeling up to it; otherwise, you can simply fill in this Microsoft Word template file opens in new window (OneDrive will not allow you to edit the file, but you should be able to download it by clicking "file" and then "save as", and edit it on your computer; this template is not pretty, but it will get the job done).
