My agency is the Wesley health center JWCH institute. The location is Downtown skid-row, and the population is predominantly black male population, although, over the recent years, the number of women and children has also increased. About 20% of the population is veterans, and many suffer from substance abuse or mental illness.

DEI assessment (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) is a process for obtaining valid data and information about the performance of an organization on key DEI factors. Assessment is a critical step to long-term success, as it provides a data-driven understanding of the organizational current state around DEI.This DEI movement has better enabled professional social workers to show up to work as their authentic selves. Yet, being our authentic selves at work can create ethical dilemmas and challenges as we attempt to deliver services to others in a person-centered way that extends beyond the employer-employee relationship.
