Two reasons that project management cannot work would be cost overrun and unnecessary delays occur due to poor scheduling and poor controls (Heizer, Render & Munson, 2020). The reason why I picked cost overrun is because when people are planning the project there may be things that did not be counted for and ended up being an extra cost. The other reason is delayed because there could be poor controls and scheduling due to people not counting for everything or making sure everything has been hit. Some specific examples would be opening up a restaurant, but not thinking about how their food is going to be imported because they only talked about how their restaurant is going to look and how many servers or workers there. Then that will make them have an increased budget because they need to hit all of that in a budget so they know when they are going over or when they are under. Another example is delays this is when the project manager is not thinking about all the details and when the schedule is on time or not. These are definitely ways that this could not work for corporations and I feel like these are the big ones for them. There are so many people to please and making sure to count for everything; would not be the best path to use.
