Hello Class,

My name is Dominique Bass, I am a IT major with a focus on CySec. My long term goal is to be an IT director for a company. Good IT directors are conductors of many integral systems for the businesses they oversee. Most IT directors have a storage system, a networking system, a disaster recovery system, and many more. I am interested to learn about the thinking that goes into systems planning and implementation.

I chose my corporation for the second part of the post. I work for Dell. It is a global company with lots of moving parts. There is an IT team, a marketing team, a direct sales team and a channel sales team. That barely scratches the surface. All of our teams are important to each other, and all have their place in making the whole company better and pushing it forward. The IT team is needed to keep our sales team customer ready. The marketing team helps get new customers, and the sales teams bring the revenue in making it all possible. None of it works very well without the other pieces.
