Slide #1: Title and Student Name (you may also include a visual that shows your chosen artifact, if you choose)

#2: Topic and Thesis statement that clearly states the main point/thesis of your essay, including what you are evaluating and the specific criteria you are using for your evaluation. Your thesis statement should be 2-3 sentences that are specifically focused and not too broad or too general.

For the next 3 slides (Slides #3, #4 and #5), please provide each of the strongest elements of support (resource material, quotes, historical background, etc.) for your main point/thesis and where you obtained the resource information fromone element of support with the source on each slide.

Slide #6 Discuss your interviews and what you learned that added perspective and details about your chosen artifact.

Slide #7 Conclusion slide that summarizes your main point/thesis/evaluation of the chosen artifact.

Slides #8 Overall thoughts about your project topic and what you learned about conducting evaluations as a part of argument and persuasion.

Other Guidelines

• No more than 35 words per slide, except Slide #2 if your thesis is longer than 35 words.
• No more than 10 slides. (You may add up to two optional slides if desired).
• Be sure your slides are clear and readable and that the wording is not obstructed by visual elements, and that the words don't flow off the side or at the bottom of the slides.
• Be sure to proofread for any mechanical errors before submittingyour grade is based on content plus having as few errors in mechanics and Standard English as possible.
