Hello class. When it comes to drones, I knew from the start of things that would make an epic impact on today. Drones will have an effect on nearly anything. From the supply chain to economic and environmental. In this week's discussion we are to focus on the effect in which drones would have on acquisition goods. When viewing the link and doing my own research I found it interesting that most of the article focused on the advantages of drone usage. I guess in this situation you can say the good outweighs the bad. Things I researched gave a few benefits to drone usage in relation to goods as far as delivery. Scenarios discussed was being able to get medical supplies to an inaccessible location or giving the advantage in a supply chain to get the good to the customer when they are located within a certain radius of a warehouse. I think that drones are going to impact the acquisition and change even more once overcoming obstacles. Like the link provided about Amazon and their efforts in getting the means to get this thing on a roll. Many issues presented it self which from what the links provided are very much valid issues that need to be resolved. Image all shipping companies following in the footsteps of Amazon, having the tower station setup where drones can deliver for customer pickup. This will lead to changes in the acquisition process by allowing the usage of drones to track goods and inventory to make sure that goods are where they should be.
