Rejected Candidates Explanation

T.J. Max is Wiz Consultants' second choice candidate and was not selected because of her leadership style. Tasty Products needs a strong leader that will be more involved with the production and performance of the division in order to ensure that the new line of products get produced and marketed accordingly to become a successful product for the company. Existing and prospective clients will need to be exposed to this new line of organic protein bars, and although TJ has advocated for natural products and is attentive to the well-being of consumers, she gives employees the freedom to make decisions (Scenario, 2020). This is not the direction that Tasty Products is looking to take while launching their new line of products. This line of protein bars will need someone to dive into the details of the division to make sure that it is heading in the right direction. TJ has great managerial qualities as well as leadership skills, but she is not the most qualified to pursue the Executive VP role for Tasty Products currently.

Rejected Candidate (third choice)

J.C. Penney was Wiz Consultants' third choice candidate, and he was not selected because he lacks marketing and sales experience, which is vital to the success of this protein bar line. JC has several leadership skills that would make a great VP for the company; however, he does get easily distracted by the details of production and gets deeply involved in other areas that do not need his attention as much (Scenario, 2020). The Executive VP cannot get side-tracked when thegoal of the division is to become a leader in the protein bar market. Marketing and sales experience is essential to this role, as it will be the fuel for the engine that drives this product line to success. Additionally, it seems as if J.C. Penney would be a better fit for managing and directing the production and quality control of the company rather than a VP role because of his engineering and educational background (Scenario, 2020).

In summary Finally, Tasty Products ought to appoint Candidate B to the position of Executive Vice President. Hehas a proven track record ofaccomplishment as a manager and leader, havingled teams and completed projects. He is very well-organized, meticulous, and a great communicator. In addition, he is a visionary leader who loves motivating his team and forging a sense of purpose. Heis skilled at creating successful plans and procedures and is a great negotiator. The ideal candidate for thisrole is B, who will provide great value to the newly formed division.
