Need help writing a mission statement

• Your Mission Statement should indicate to an outside viewer: what your business represents, what is its driving force, and why does it exist?
• Internally, it should be the guiding star of the business, where ideas are filtered through it to determine if they're right for it.
• It should be short and to the point. One sentence or less, a fragment. If you can't say it in one breath, then it's too long. ;)
• Page 131 (Business Mission) in your text offers a good explanation, if you need a little more guidance.

The Rolling Pin will sell a variety of delicious foods, cold and hot beverages, and a comfy lounge area for nearby college students. These comfort foods will be sold in a beautiful storefront located near Broad Ripple in Indianapolis. These comfort foods will offer a loyal customer base within each location.

Target Market

Within the first five years of operation, The Rolling Pin plans to open two more establishments. These establishments will all be located by or near college campuses. The target market is college students.

College students are always looking for a place to relax while studying or a fun night. The Rolling Pin offers hours of operation from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. and offers a variety of products ranging from $2.00 to $10.00 each. The products are cookies, cupcakes, donuts, different types of bread, and hot and cold coffee. Each of the three restaurants will offer a comfortable lounge area with tables and chairs, along with different books located throughout the restaurant for anyone to read. The atmosphere will be calm, relaxing, and fun for each customer.
