Negotiations Process

Negotiations between labor and management can be quite stressful$$for everyone. Researchers suggest that there are four "subprocesses" at work during these negotiations, and that both union leaders and management representatives would do well to understand them. The four labor$-$management negotiation subprocesses include: distributive bargaining, integrative bargaining, attitudinal structuring, and intraorganizational bargaining.

This activity is important because there are many different processes occurring during labor management negotiation.

The goal of this activity is to determine which subprocess corresponds to each statement.
