NOTE 3:. When the weekly wages are prepared, the wages Masterfile is updated accordingly. The staff in the Manufacturing Department are paid weekly. Total wages are calculated as normal hours worked + (1.5 x overtime hours worked) multiplied by the rate per hour. The wages function makes use of a clock card system. Below is an extract from the wages Masterfile:

NOTE 5: Hourly paid employees at Walmer Traders record their hours worked on clock cards by clocking in and out of the clocking device. The hours of each employee are then entered into the system by the Wage Clerk.
