Sheet $2$: Drawing Shapes using pencil

On one sheet of paper, draw the six shapes provided in the DrDT$110\_$Hondout$\_$Assignment$\_$o$1.$pdf using your paraliel ruler, set squares, and compass or circle template. DO NOT TRACE.

Create each set with pencils

Draft light construction lines to compose the sheet and set of squares to start$\_$Appropriately space the $6$ shapes on the sheet.

Draw the outside of the shapes using a dark weight $(2$B lead$).$

Use a thin light line for diagonal lines $(x$ in background$)(2$H Lead$).$

Use a medium line weight for all other lines and shapes $($HB lead$)$

PART B: SCALE $(8\mathrm{.}5$x$11$ Paper$-$portrait orientation$)$

Instructions

Print out DVDT$110\_$Handout$\_$Assignment$\_01.$pdf on $8\mathrm{.}511$ poper, and use it to complete this part of the assignment.

Using the scale indicated, measure each numbered line with the appropriate architectural scale $($imperial$)$ in the first section and engineers scale $($metric$)$ for the last $2$ sections. to determine the dimension it represents.

Write your answer in the space provided to the right of each line. Note in feet and inches $($ex$.5^{**}-6^{**})$ Round to the nearest inch for the first section. Note the latter section in mm$,$ cm or M$.$

You do NOT have to re$-$draw these lines.

PART C: LETTERING $(8\mathrm{.}5$x$11$ Paper$-$ portrait orientation$)$

Instructions

Sheet $3$

Letter the alphabet $2$ times with $\frac{1}{8}"$ high letter $(\frac{1}{{16}^{\text{'}\text{'}}}$ spacing between lines$).$

Using $\frac{1}{8^{\text{'}\text{'}}}$ high guidelines, print the numbers $0$ to $9,$ plus the following:

Hand write $($draft$)$ the Fractions: $\frac{1}{2},\frac{1}{4},\frac{1}{8},$ and $\frac{1}{16}.$

Repeat the above numbers and fractions using $\frac{1}{4^{-1}}$ high guidelines.

$-$Use Architectural block letters and numbers for all of the above. Remember that architectural lettering is always uppercase $($no lowercase$).$

Complete this next part on two additional sheets.

Transcribe $($reprint$)$ the four paragraphs below $($two on one sheet, two on the other$)$ using architectural capital lettering. Each sheet should also contain $1-2$ rows of numbers.

Draft within a set of guidelines. Guidelines are seen above and below letters $($light $2H$ pencil lead$).$ Use tools. DO NOT FREEHAND lettering. You may try to draft straight or angled lettering styles or both.

Center lettering on the page, aligned slightly left

Paragraphs $1$ and $2$ are drafted at $\frac{1}{8^{**}}$ high

Paragraphs $3$ and $4$ are drafted at $\frac{1}{4^{**}}$ high

Approximate width of the paragraphs should be $6^{**}$
