!!!!Note My career is Cyber Security!!!! and this question is from Business Communications - ENG103
Identifying the right career for you is both important and difficult. Once youve narrowed the options, the next step is to identify the right employer. A career is much more than a job and its essential you consider the long term fit as well as the short-term compensation and responsibilities. The right job in the right career at the wrong company can be a miserable situation.
For this project, youll do some research to try to find an employer who matches at least some of the passion, mission, and vocation you hope to find in your profession.
Your task is to research at least two major employers, through their websites and other sources (company literature, employee publications, current or former employees, business sections of local and national newspapers, etc.) answer the following questions for each and submit in Memo format to your instructor.
Avoid retyping questions.
Employer 1
Name and website
What kind of organization is it (what is their business)?
Is it a for-profit, nonprofit, not for profit or government organization?
If its a government employer, which sector (federal, state, municipal) and where would you fit in?
Does it provide a service or services? If so, what are they?
Does it sell products? If so, what are they?
How long has it been in business?
What is its mission statement? What does that reveal to you?
What is its reputation?
Based on what you learned, is this an employer youre interested in? Why or why not?
