OBJECTIVE The objective of the assignment is to look at the impacts of cross-cultural issues on intemational management and discuss problem-solving and decision-making approaches to complex situations in international business. TASK As a group, you are required to select a country of your choice in Africa of which your company located in Malaysia intends to expand Analyse and evaluate the factors including but not limited to governmental policy, ethical consideration, economic and government stability, and national responsiveness in the choice location that might affect your company's ability to expand into this country. As an individual, clearly state the common approaches and imperatives of economic, political quality and/ or administrative coordination that you might use in formulating and implementing a strategy that would facilitate the company expansion into this location. Note that there is no requirement for you to state all four imperatives. This assignment is based on the topics covered in Topic 5-7 REQUIREMENT 1. Although this is an INDIVIDUAL assignment, it combines the elements of group discussion and individual submission 2. As a group, study the factors in the country of choice that serve as hindrance to your company expansion into the location. This activity will be carried out in Week 8 tutorial 3. A closed book assessment will be carried out in Week 9 starting 14.3.2022 in your respective tutorial session 4. During the closed book assessment, you are required to clearly state your common approaches and imperatives recommendations to the company board in NOT MORE THAN A PAGE. 5. A blank piece of paper that will be provided to you by your tutor for the purpose. 6. Students are not allowed to refer to any external references including the use of internet and textbook. 7. The duration of the assessment is TWO (2) hours. FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS 1. If there are any extenuating circumstances which prevents you from attending the tutorial - for example, medical or emergency cases you must inform the lecturer/tutor directly or indirectly via your classmates BEFORE OR ON the date of the assignment submission.
