Lee (2025) the author of the capstone dissertation, gives a clear guide of what is required in a capstone at Walden University. It is broad in scope and combines public health issues and policy/systemic analysis. The research is modeled in the Social-Ecological Model and is put in the context of social justice and public health. It is a secondary data analysis based on NCANDS and AFCARS data, and it focuses on reunification outcomes of families who have substance use as the reason to deal with child welfare. The key elements will be a substantial literature review, a quantitative analysis of data through regression models, and practice and policy implications (Lee, 2025).
