NTP $($Network Time Protocol$)$ implements IETF RFC$-5905($Network Time Protocol Version $4$: Protocol and Algorithms Specification$).$

In addition to the companion Challenge $(080-040$: Retrieve Time from Three NTP Servers$),$ there are two$--$brief$--$parts to this Challenge:

First, gain an overall understanding of the basic operations of NTP; then, In the space below: Write a BRIEF description of the similarities and differences in the way$($s$)$ NTP uses broadcast vs$.$ Multicast protocols.

Second, gain a specific understanding of NTP$-$Multicast's use of the TTL parameter.

IMPORTANT: Be sure you understand what is the default setting for TTL$.$

Then, in the space below $($regardless of whether you believe it is feasible, or not$),$ describe what would happen if a node listening for NTP messages consumed three versions of the same message: Version $1,$ from the first "hop" $($TTL $=$ TTL$\_$DEFAULT $-1).$ Version $2$ from the middle "hop" $($TTL$\_$DEFAULT$/2).$ Version $3,$ from the final "hop" $($TTL$\_$DEFAULT $-$ TTL$\_$DEFAULT$).$
