Objective:
A series of technical projects provide students with a handson experience to understand tundamental concepts in Dynamics through "learning by doing." Throughout the ME course iectures, students will learn about basic principles, concepts, analytical approaches, and probiemsolving skills in Dynamics. To supplement theories and "learning by lectures and problemsolving," this project will help students connect the concepts and theories in class with experiments and "doing" as a group.
Summary:
This project is to measure gravity through a simple experiment. A group of students come up with their strategy to measure the gravity, known as and set an experiment procedure. The gravity varies depending on where and how you measure it An object at rest falls from a particular known height, and you measure the travel time. Using the definition of acceleration, velocity, position, and their relation, you can find your gravity acceleration
Submission Guideline:
Write type a one or twopage document.
Record a short less than seconds YouTube video link.
The video shows the motion of an object.
No cover page is necessary
Take a group photo.
Submit a document, a video link, and a group photo through iLearn.
Measurement Guideline:
Your group can pick any object.
At least or experiments are recommended for accuracy.
Work as a group. Each individual plays a specific role
Always be careful! Safety is the first
Brainstorm and discuss first before vou go out for an experiment.
