Objective: The objective of this group assignment is to simulate an Agile framework in a team setting. Students will work in groups to develop a project using Agile principles and practices, and demonstrate their understanding of Agile concepts through practical application. Instructions: Form groups of 4-5 students. Each group will act as a project team and will be responsible for completing the simulation project. - Choose a project for the simulation. It could be a software development project, a marketing campaign, a product launch, or any other project that can be completed within the given time frame of the assignment. - Assign roles within the group, such as product owner, scrum master, and team members. Roles can be rotated during the simulation to provide a comprehensive understanding of Agile team dynamics. - Use Agile principles and practices to plan, execute, and deliver the project. Some suggested Agile practices to incorporate into the simulation are: - Sprint planning: The team plans the work for the upcoming sprint, identifies the tasks to be completed, and estimates the effort required. - Sprint review: The team presents the completed work to the class and receives feedback. - Retrospectives: The team reflects on the sprint and identifies areas for improvement. - Kanban or Scrum board: The team uses a visual board to track the progress of tasks and visualize the workflow. - Throughout the simulation, use Agile artifacts such as user stories, backlog, and burndown charts to track progress and make decisions. - Prepare a final presentation to showcase the completed project, the Agile practices used, and the lessons learned from the simulation. Deliverables: Each group should submit a recorded Power point File (PPT) of the Agile Framework presentation to canvas, 20-25 mins ma time allotted for presentation and each team member should speak for about 5 mins. Presentation should include the following 2 items (100 points): 1. Project plan: Create a project plan that includes user stories, backlog, sprint backlog, and sprint tasks. (70 points) 2. Sprint review presentation: Prepare a presentation that showcases the completed work and includes feedback received during the sprint review. (30 points) Grading Criteria: The group assignment will be graded based on the following criteria: Application of Agile principles and practices Quality of the project plan and use of Agile artifacts Collaboration and teamwork within the group Overall presentation and demonstration of Agile concepts
