Objectives

This assignment is your first persuasive communications assignment in this course. Once completed, you should be able to:

• apply principles of persuasion;
• list and practice effective techniques for speaking and writing to persuade; and
• explain the components of an argument, and practice building an argument.

Description

This individual assignment will enhance students persuasive communication skills and techniques. Students will create a video, which will focus on developing oral persuasive communications skills. In the video, students will deliver a short persuasive pitch in which they will convince investors to invest in their product or service, similar to presentations given on the popular Dragons Den TV show.
