How can Malaysian organisation ensure that competitive intelligence practices are legal and ethical ?

So, based on the laws (SCIP and PDPA), competitive intelligence practice is completely legal. Gathering information by not disclosing who you are to a competitor or by lying would be considered unethical, but it is not illegal. The best competitive intelligence professionals do not conduct their practice through illegal or unethical means.

Give an example of an organization involving allegations of unethical competitive intelligence practice or industrial espionage, that we can discuss and determine later the acceptability or otherwise of the actions involved. Based on your examples we can examine and illustrate the types of issues that might be at stake, and give guidance on how to assess them.
