Question:
On behalf of our student team and the Okanagan School of Business at Okanagan College, thank you for engaging us to develop an event business plan for your organization. We thank you for the time commitment to this project and to allow our team to work with you. We will spend as much time needed with you to create a professional and comprehensive event business plan and you can expect weekly or bi-weekly communications from our team’s project leader during this engagement.
This project is part of the applied learning at the senior level under the direction of Dr. Blair Baldwin, Professor, The Okanagan School of Business, Okanagan College. It will help us utilize the concepts taught in class and apply them to a real-life company. Our group consists of senior students enrolled in the four - year Bachelors of Business Administration Degree Program. Upon completion of our Event Business Plan, you will receive a presentation and report of our findings and recommendations.
To ensure our full understanding and to hold both parties accountable, the following includes our understanding of the propose event:
- The Rationale for the Event (state its goals; and include financial goals for the event (breakeven? Make money?); and include a statement as to whether this is a new event or an existing one that needs a better plan.
- The Purpose of the Event (A broad outline of the main goals components of the event)
- Target Audience (define the broad customer base)
