One of the most important concepts about court justice can sometimes be the very right to get into the courthouse door. In Chapter 2, we have learned, and will be learning about "jurisdiction", "arbitration" and "venue". Sometimes these concepts are used to prevent people from making claims against others.

ATT v. Concepcion is about someone who wanted to invalidate an arbitration agreement so they could maintain a class action against ATT

Nicastro v. McIntyre is about a worker hurt by a machine built by an English company

Summarize the facts of the case briefly - two or three sentences is ok, but include in your discussion the facts that become important to the Court's decision.

 Then, summarize the primary holding of the case - tell me what the primary holding by the Supreme Court was in the case.This may take a little writing because you have to tell me not only the outcome but why the Court ruled the way it did. Note the vote of the Court and who wrote the opinion.

Tell the class why you agree with the outcome based on specific facts in the case or why you don't and whether it seemed fair.
