Organizations that practice Lean often seek to assess the level of Lean "Implementation" in an objective fashion. Consultants, Quality Managers, Continual Improvement Managers, General Managers, etc., like to have an objective tool to assess the degree of Lean Implementation.

For this assignment, develop a Lean Assessment Tool (Lean Audit) that can be used to assess the degree of Lean Techniques implemented within an organization. Assume you are either a consultant or a Manager and are asked to determine the extend of Lean within the organization.

The Lean Assessment should include the major elements of Lean and a scoring system to access the degree of implementation. You should explain the scoring system, offer a description of each Lean Element you are assessing, and define the criteria to determine the extent of implementation. An overall quantitative score shall be provided to inform Management as to the extent of Lean within the organization.
