Over the past weeks, we have learned about some of the international treaties (International Trade and International Law, WTO, NAFTA, EU, Canada's response to global rules) of which Canada is a member. As a member of these treaties, Canada has an obligation to follow the treaty terms. As a result, in making its domestic laws, Canada must ensure that it abides by the terms of these treaties.
